Island hopping between Cycladic islands
A journey by Ferries through stories about migration
No borders,
Just islands
We’ve prepared an island hopping journey through 3 different Cycladic islands. You will share your story with local islanders and most importantly, local school students.
Along the way, you’ll organise and take part in four Human Library events where you will get to talk with strangers, meet local communities, and inspire others by sharing your life stories about migration.

This experience is for you if you’ve lived through migration—whether by choice, necessity, or circumstance. Whether you’ve crossed borders, left home behind, or navigated life in a new place, this is an invitation to join, to speak up, and to connect through storytelling. You will need to be ready to change various places, share and listen with an open heart.

02 October
Piraeus (Athens)
We will sleep in a hotel close to the port. We will wake up early the next day to catch the ferry to Ios.
03 – 05 October
Ios Island
After an 8hour long ferry, we will arrive in our first island! In Ios we will get to know each other, we will introduce ourselves to the project and run our first Human Library event
05 – 07 October
Folegandros Island
In this beautiful island we will prepare and visit a local school and we will organise the 2nd Human Library event in the Chora (main square)
07-08 October
Sifnos Island
During a 3 hour ferry journey, we will have the chance to share our stories… on the boat!
We will arrive in Sifnos where we will visit a second school and organise&host our last local event.
08-09 October
Piraeus (Athens)
The project will close where it began. We will have our last ride with the ferry from Sifnos to Piraeus and then we will stay to the same accomodation of the first night.
On the 9th of October will be the Departures day.
